Tweens can dress like Disney Channel stars with D-Signed clothing
Fri, 23 Jul 2010 Disney launches the first collection of its tween clothing line D-Signed, inspired by 'Sonny With A Chance,' on Aug. 1 at Target. (Walt Disney Co. via LaughingPlace.com) Just in time for back-to-school shopping, Disney is launching a new tween clothing line inspired by characters on Disney Channel. D-Signed apparel and accessories will be available exclusively at Target and Target.com.
Disney describes the clothes this way: “D-Signed is a departure from more general entertainment-inspired tween based clothing as these items do not portray the characters likeness. Instead, they’re inspired by their look and personality on the hit series—the items you would find in their closet.”
Sonny Monroe, played by Demi Lovato on Sonny With A Chance, is the inspiration for the first collection, which will be available Aug. 1. Pieces include embellished graphic tees, skirts, dresses, pants, knit dresses, shorts, fashion tops and jackets, headbands, necklaces and bags that will range in price from $4.99 to $19.99. The line will be available for girls in sizes 4 to 16.
The first collection will be available for three months, and then will be replaced by a second Sonny Munroe line in time for the holidays. Future D-Signed lines will include fashions based on the style of other popular Disney Channel characters including Alex Russo, played by Selena Gomez on Wizards of Waverly Place.
